The Catholic Syrian Bank Ltd invites applications for Recruitment of Relationship Executives on successful completion of Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF) Course

Catholic Syrian Bank invites young vibrant candidates who are interested in banking career for admissions to the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance Course conducted by St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT),a unit of St Aloysius College (Autonomous),Mangaluru.

On successful completion of the course, immediately the candidate would be offered appointment in the bank asRelationship Executive.

Candidate shall be selected through selection process consisting of online test followed by Group Discussion or/ and Personal Interview. Admission to the full-time post graduate diploma course in Banking and Finance from AIMIT comes with the assured Banking career with Catholic Syrian Bank Ltd. on successful completion of the course.

Educational Qualification as on 30th September 2018 :Any Graduation under regular course

Age : Less than 26 years as on 30th September 2018

Candidate should have passed Graduation under regular course (full time course) from a recognized University/ Institute recognized by the Government of India. Educational qualification by mode of distance education will not be considered.

Programme and Course Fee

The selected candidates shall undergo a Nine months residential campus programme at (AIMIT) and 3 months internship at Bank. During the Campus programme, a well-structured syllabus is designated to meet the skill sets as required and to identify candidates in areas of their excellence. On successful completion of the programme, the candidate may be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance by AIMIT and will be absorbed to the service of the Bank as Relationship Executive. The fees for this Course will be Rs. 2.50 lakh (inclusive of boarding, lodging and course fees) plus taxes, as applicable to be paid by the student.

Finance/ Loan Options:

The candidates selected for the program will be eligible for availing Educational Loan facility provided by the Bank, subject to the prevailing norms of the Bank. The EMI towards the loan would be recovered from the salary from the month of joining the Bank (after training and internship period). There would be no recovery of EMIs or interest during the One year course period and the interest accrued during this course period of one year would be recovered along with the normal EMIs.


The student will be paid a sum of Rs. 5,000/- per month during 9 months classroom training and during internship period of 3 months. Fees will be returned to the Relationship Executives as annual installments from the end of 5th year upto the end of 10th year of continuous service in the Bank based on the satisfactory performance of the candidates.

Probation Period:

The period of probation is 1 year after joining bank after completion of 9 months training and 3 months on the job training. Confirmation will be subject to satisfactory performance during probation.


After successful completion of the training period of one year, Rs.2.40 lakh per annum (Stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month during Training Period). Initial Posting Location will be in the home state of the candidate as far as possible. However the RE can be posted anywhere in India at the sole discretion of the Bank.

Major Job Role Includes:

  • Assist the Branch Manager to carryout day to day activities and all general banking activities of the Branch under Core Banking System (CBS) environment.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in Recovery, Monitoring, Non-Performing Assets (NPA) accounts and the process.
  • Rendering effective customer service in counter including disbursement of cash
  • Maintaining proper book of accounts.
  • Perform the duties of an officer in charge of cash and to give and sign receipts and give effectual discharge for money that are paid and received.
  • Cross selling of Third Party Products.
  • Management can at any time re-assign the job role.
  • Marketing of Bank’s various products.
